The following incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Shots Fired/Man With a Gun

An unknown offender fired shots with a gun at 8:36 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 1400 block of Grey Ave.

An unknown offender fired shots with a gun at 11:52 p.m. on Sept. 19, in the 700 block of Dobson Ave.

Robbery/Strong Arm

A victim was knocked to the ground by an offender, kicked and then had his Cannondale bicycle and Samsung cell phone stolen from him in the 1600 block of Foster at 11:12 p.m., Sept. 22. The offenders are described as two males.

Reckless Conduct

An unknown offender threw and unknown object at the victim’s 2005 Honda as she was driving, causing the windshield to shatter at 8:13 p.m., on Sept. 21 in the 300 block of Chicago Ave.

Assault Simple

An unknown offender approached a victim, yelling and attempting to hit the victim, in the 240 block of Main Street on Sept. 21 at 6:48 p.m.

Burglary

A red and black BMX bicycle was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1800 block of Main St. at 7:42 a.m. on Sept. 21.

U.S. currency was taken from a car wash in the 2400 block of Dempster Street at 6 p.m., Sept. 20. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’8”, and 130 pounds.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

A Spring LG Optimus cell phone and Segal Accoustic Electric M-series music intrument was stolen from 2011 GMC in the 500 Block of Sheridan between 7 p.m., Sept. 21 and 9 a.m. Sept. 22.

A 2011 Volkswagon car was ransacked, but nothing was reported missing at 2:54 p.m., on Sept. 24 at the intersection of Greenwood and Ashland avenues.

A blue case Apple iPod was taken from a 1987 Chevrolet in the 1600 block of Darrow Avenue between 7:55 a.m. and 3:52 p.m., on Sept. 19.

A backpack with its contents and a Samsung laptop computer were stolen from a 2008 Ford parked in a residential driveway in the 3600 block of Central Street between 1:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 23.

Theft From Vehicle

An Apple laptop computer was taken from a vehicle in the 800 block of Monroe Street on Sept. 24. The victim believes the offender entered the vehicle with a key. 

Theft Under $500

A Schwinn adult size frame bicycle with solitaire decal was taken from an apartment storage locker in the 800 block of Hinman Ave. between 9 a.m., Sept. 22 and 4 p.m., Sept. 23.

U.S. currency, a wallet and its contents were stolen from a restaurant in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 8 p.m. and 9:21 p.m., Sept. 22. The victim says it was stolen from the victim’s purse hanging on the back of a chair.

A vantage men’s ¾ length coat was taken from a closet in a retirement home in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue on September 20.

A credit card was stolen from a locker in a locker room in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 3 and 3:40 p.m., Sept. 20.

A Motorola cell phone was taken from a victim’s backpack on school grounds in the 1600 block of Dodge, between 10:06 and 10:53 a.m., on Sept. 21.

A black Schwinn bicycle seat was taken from a parking garage in an apartment parking lot in the 2100 block of Central Ave. at 2 p.m., Sept. 23.

A cell phone was taken from an apartment in the 1900 block of Asbury between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m., Sept. 21. The victim says a known offender, described as a 5’11”, 180 pound black female, took the phone.

A Gucci black wallet with a chain, and the contents of the wallet, were stolen from a business in the 1600 block of Emerson St., on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.

Theft of Vehicle Parts/Accessories

Six catalytic converter car parts were cut from six Ford vehicles in the parking lot of a business in the 2100 block of Dempster Ave. between 10 p.m., Sept. 22 and 7 a.m., Sept. 23.

Criminal Damage to State Supported Property

Graffiti was reported on the street at Kirk and Florence avenues at 2:57 p.m. on Sept. 21.

Graffiti was observed by police on the street at Oak and Dempster streets at 8:19 a.m. on Sept. 22.

Graffiti was observed by police in the alley of the 2300 block of Noyes Ct. on Sept. 19.

Arrests

Bertrum Therrod Anderson, 18, 240 Lee, Evanston, was charged Sept. 23 with disobedience to a police officer.

Frank Keith Behrens, 60, address unknown, was charged Sept. 21, with violating an order of protection.

Alexander A. Brown, 22, 2212 Washington, Evanston, was charged Sept. 21 with theft over $500.

Jermoe Lester Dorsett, 38, 8129 Eberhart, Chicago, was charged Sept. 22 with domestic battery.

Johnson B. Filani, 26, 5910 N. Christinia, Chicago, was charged Sept. 22 with disobedience to police.

Javier Martinez-Santiago, 43, 7522 N. Greenview, was charged Sept. 21, with a traffic violation.

Nicole Tvonne Means, 30, 1413 Howard, Evanston, was charged Sept. 19, with endangering the life of a child.

Allyson Clothield Miller, 32, 1430 Hartrey, Evanston, was charged Sept. 22 with DUI.
