Gunfire Reported in 1900 Block of Jackson

Burglary

Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street on April 8.

Busted windows

A car parked in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue had several of its windows busted on April 8. One suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds. A second offender was described as a Hispanic male, about 5-foot-8 and 180-pounds, police said.

A car parked in the 1600 block of Simpson Street had its rear window busted on April 10.

Graffiti

Police observed graffiti in the 200 block of Hartrey Avenue on April 4.

Stolen cell phone

A person reported his or her cell phone stolen by someone known to them on April 4.

Business burglary

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a business in the 500 block of Main Street on April 8.

Stolen wallet

A wallet was reported stolen from a locker room in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue on April 10.

Keyed car

A car parked in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue was keyed/scratched on April 10.

Shots fired

Police responded to a shots fired complaint in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue on April 10 around 11:25 p.m. Police canvassed the area but found nothing, the report stated.

Aggravated domestic battery

A 49-year-old Evanston man was charged with aggravated domestic battery on April 8 around 11:25 p.m. The offender was arrested in the 1400 block of Elmwood Street, police said. No further details were provided.
