Evanston Teen Charged With Burglary

The following information was reported by the Evanston Police Department on Monday, June 3, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department

Arrests: Burglary, DUI, Possession of Cannabis

Dakane L. Masters, 17, of the 1900 block of Jackson in Evanston, was arrested and charged with burglary and reckless conduct last week, according to police.

Volha Viatokha, 57, of the 700 block of Weidner in Buffalo Grove, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Central Street and Ridge Avenue, according to police

Reginald T. Boclair, 23, of the 6600 block of South Claremont in Chicago, was arrested and charged with trespass to a vehicle at 4:55 p.m. Friday, May 31, according to police. 

Cherie J. Donahoe, 52, of the 2300 block of Manor Lane in Park Ridge, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole from a department store in the 2200 block of Howard Street at 3:48 p.m. Thursday, May 30, police reported.

Daniel P. Elsbree, 47, of the 600 block of Lawler Avenue in Wilmette, was arrested and charged with theft of service or labor Sunday, June 2, in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue.

Carlos Alberto Fernandez, 24, of the 2500 block of West Touhy in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 4:38 p.m. Saturday, June 1, according to police.

Donna Lynn Hatfield, 38, of the 1900 block of Hartrey in Evanston, was arrested and charged with theft at her home at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, according to police. 

Monica D. Huminiecki, 32, of the 8000 block of North Odell Street in Niles, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole food from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street between 11:20 and 11:28 a.m. Saturday, June 1, according to police. 

Gaci Juric, 56, and Kathy Konstantinov, 40, both of the 8900 block of Parkside in Morton Grove, and Gregory L. Lord, 45, of the 9000 block of Mansfield in Morton Grove, were arrested and charged with retail theft after they stole food from a store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 6:08 p.m. Friday, May 31, police reported. 

Taylor Zachary Madison, 20, of the 1500 block of Lee Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole from a chain business in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at 1:37 p.m. Sunday, June 2, according to police.

Lyndell Obasiolu, 51, of the 6900 block of North Seeley in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, June 1, in the 2400 block of Main Street, according to police.

Residential Burglaries Reported On Dodge, Hurd, Elgin
Someone kicked in the front door of an apartment building in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue between April 30 and May 31, police reported.

Someone stole cash from an unlocked garage in the 2500 block of Hurd Avenue between 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1, and 9 a.m. Sunday, June 2, police reported. 

Someone stole two laptop computers and a leather wallet with a red stripe from an unlocked apartment in the 800 block of Elgin Road between 5 and 6:20 p.m. Friday, May 31, according to police. 

Attempted Burglary on Hartrey

Someone tried to kick in the backdoor of a home in the 1800 block of Hartrey Avenue between 6 a.m. Thursday, May 30, and 7:40 a.m. Friday, May 31, police reported. 

Six Car Burglaries Reported in Four Days

Someone broke into an unlocked 2004 Toyota parked in the 2100 block of Brummel Street around 2:06 a.m. Saturday, June 1, according to police.

Someone stole cash from an unlocked 1990 Chevrolet parked in the 2100 block of Dobson Street around 2:06 a.m. Saturday, June 1, police reported.

Someone stole cash, a Sprint car charger and a garage door opener from a 2006 GMC parked in the 200 block of Grey Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, and 8 a.m. Saturday, June 1, according to police.

A man stole a GPS unit from an unlocked 2011 Subaru parked in the 2700 block of Central Park Avenue at 2:18 a.m. Thursday, June 30, police reported.

Someone stole glasses from an unlocked 2011 Mazda parked in the 2700 block of Woodland Road between 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, and 7 a.m. Friday, May 31, police reported.

Ruby, Opal, Diamond Rings Go Missing

A ruby, opal and diamond ring went missing after carpet cleaners came to an apartment in the 2500 block of Central Street between 7 p.m. Sunday, May 25, and 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, according to police.

Bikes Stolen On Oakton, Hastings, Hinman, Ridge

Someone stole a red Schwinn mountain bicycle from an unlocked apartment in the 700 block of Oakton Street around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, police reported. 

Someone stole a black and silver BMX boys bicycle that was left unlocked in a yard in the 2400 block of Hastings Avenue between May 16 and May 18, according to police. 

Someone stole a blue, 21-speed Marin hybrid bicycle with a rear basket that was left unsecured in an apartment or condo common area in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, June 2, police reported. 

Someone stole a bike that was left unsecured in a yard in the 2000 block of Darrow around 6:26 p.m. Thursday, May 30, according to police.

Wallets Swiped From CTA, Barber Shop

Someone stole a denim wallet and its contents from a purse on the CTA in the 1600 block of Hinman Avenue between 4:20 and 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2, according to police. 

Someone stole an orange and green leather wallet with its contents that was left unattended at a beauty or barber shop in the 800 block of Church Street around 5 p.m. Thursday, May 30, according to police. 

iPhone Stolen From Desk

Someone stole an iPhone with a black case from a desk at a business in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, and 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a business in the 900 block of Grove Street between 8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, and 6:15 a.m. Friday, May 31, according to police.

Someone damaged a 2010 Nissan with an egg in the 1800 block of Hovland Court between 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, according to police. 

Someone broke the windshield of a 2003 Honda parked in an apartment lot in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue around 6:50 p.m. Sunday, June 2, police reported.
