Slashed Tires, Shots Fired and Stolen Garden Gear

Slashed tires

Police observed a vehicle with slashed tires in the 1700 block of Monroe Street on April 28 around 3:40 a.m.

A car owner reported his or her side view mirror and window broken in the 1100 block of Madison Street on April 27.  

Burglary

About eight to 10 bottles of alcohol were reported stolen from a restaurant in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue on April 28. The offender(s) gained entry by prying open the front door, the report stated.

Man with gun

A citizen reported seeing a man display a pistol while inside a vehicle near the intersection of Maple and Simpson streets on April 27 around 3:30 p.m. No further information was provided.

There was a second report of a man with a gun - this time a pedestrian - near the 1700 block of Payne Street on April 27 around 10:15 p.m. Police checked the area but found nothing, the report stated.

Stolen garden gear

Patio chairs and garden equipment were reported stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue on April 26.

Garden equipment was reported stolen from a garage in the 3000 block of Payne Street on April 26. The offender(s) gained entry through an unlocked window, police said.

Damaged TV

A TV was damaged at a hotel in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue on April 25.

Shots fired

Police responded to a shots fired complaint in the 800 block of Rosyln Place on April 27 around 12 p.m. Officers canvassed the area but found nothing.

Stolen auto

A car parked in the 1400 block of Simpson Street was reported stolen on April 27.

Domestic battery

A 21-year-old Wilmette man was charged with domestic battery on April 27. The offender was arrested in the 400 block of Custer Avenue around 2:19 a.m.

Intoxicated pedestrian

Marie Phelps, 20, of Chicago, was charged with public intoxication on April 28. The offender was arrested in the 1700 block of Dempster Street around 2 a.m., the report stated.

Marco Villegas, 19, of Evanston, was charged with public intoxication on April 28 around 2.m. The teen was arrested in the 1700 block of Dempster Street, police said.

Possession of marijuana

Patrice Thompson, 23, of Evanston, was charged with possession of cannabis on April 28. The offender was arrested in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue around 11:55 p.m., police said.
