Spanking Leads to Battery Charge

Theft

Cash was reported stolen from an apartment unit in the 300 block of Dempster Street on March 3.

A patio door leading to a single family residence in the 1800 block of Grant Street was reported damaged on March 3.

Battery

A person was slapped in the face by a woman at the intersection of Brown and Emerson on March 3 around 4 p.m. The suspect was described as a black female, about 5-foot-5 and 110-pounds, police said.

Victim spanked

A victim was "spanked and grabbed by the arm" at his or her apartment unit in the 300 block of Custer Avenue on March 3 around 6:30 p.m., according to the police report. The offender was described as a black male, about 6-feet-tall and a 140-pounds. No further details were provided, the report stated. 

Theft from auto

Cash was reported stolen from an auto parked in the 1900 block of Wesley Avenue on March 11.

Endangering life of child

Kenneth Brown, 20, of Riverdale, was charged with endangering a life of a child on March 3. Brown was arrested in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue around 11:30 a.m., police said. No further details were provided.

Domestic battery

A 23-year-old Chicago man was charged with domestic battery on March 3. The offender was arrested in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue around 5:26 p.m.,  police said.

Sexual abuse

Najee Samuel Muhammed-Bey, 20, of Evanston, was charged with criminal sexual abuse on March 3. The offender was arrested in the 1400 block of Elmwood around 3 a.m., police said. No further details were provided.

DUI

Jan Trojnar, 62, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on March 3. The driver was stopped in the 500 block of Sheridan Road around 1 a.m.
