An Apple iPad was reported stolen from a construction site in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue on March 6.

Duo Steals Cell Phone in Strongarm Robbery

Two offenders approached a victim near the intersection of Greenwood Street and Darrow Avenue on Feb. 28 around 4:15 p.m. According to the report, there was a brief struggle between the duo and victim. Ultimately, one of the culprits took the phone from the person’s hands and both suspects fled the scene, the report stated.

The incident is very similar to another strong armed robbery that occurred near Lake Street and Darrow Avenue, or about one block away, on March 2.

The suspects were described as two black males both standing at around 5-foot-8, the report stated. No further description was provided.

Stolen catalytic converter

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Chancellor Street on March 3. The part contains precious metals that are typically sold to scrappers. To read our latest
