Group Punches Man on Hovland, Steals Headphones

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department: 

Arrests: DUI, Battery, Possesion of a Controlled Substance

Darcy Ann Hill, 34, of the 100 block of Keeney in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Church Street at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, police reported. 

A 20-year-old woman from Omaha was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, according to police. 

A 41-year-old man from Evanston was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 11:26 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, police reported. 

Alexander Ng, 19, of the 100 block of Greenway South in Forest Hills, NY, was arrested and charged with battery at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in the 1500 block of Central Street, police reported. 

Laree Autae Williams, 31, of the 300 block of Custer Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 5:58 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in the 100 block of Custer Street, according to police.

Group Punches Victim, Steals Headphones

A group of people knocked a man to the ground in an alley in the 1700 block of Hovland Court, then punched him in the face and took his headphones around 12:05 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, according to police. 

Woman Hits Victim in Head on Emerson

A known offender hit her victim in the head between 2:35 and 2:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in the 2100 block of Emerson Street, police reported.

Residential Burglary on Hartrey

A woman saw a man in her house in the 800 block of Hartrey Avenue at 11:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, during an attempted burglary, according to police.

Car Burglarized on Colfax

Someone stole cash from a 2001 Buick left unlocked in the 1000 block of Colfax Street between 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, police reported. 

Tires Flattened On Sherman, Colfax, Orrington

Someone or some people flattened the tires of ten separate cars parked in the 2300 and 2200 blocks of Sherman Avenue, the 2200 and 2300 blocks of Orrington Avenue and the 700 block of Colfax Street between late Friday, Oct. 19, and early Saturday, Oct. 20. 

Bike Stolen on Elmwood

Someone stole a maroon hybrid Diamondback bicycle that was left unlocked in an alley in the 1000 block of Elmwood Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, police reported. 

Wallet Stolen From Locker

Someone stole a Guess tri-fold wallet from a locked locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, according to police. 

Criminal Damage: Power Line Cut at CTA Station, Lexus Keyed and More

Graffiti appeared in a park in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between 12:01 and 11:39 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, according to police. 

A man cut the power line at the South Boulevard ‘El’ station, between 1:30 and 1:57 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, police reported. 

Someone keyed a Lexus parked in the 700 block of Oakton Street between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, and 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, according to police. 

Someone cut the tires of a bicycle left at the CTA station in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, police reported.
