Thief Steals Gas From Car

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Aggravated Assault, Cannabis

Sandra A.M. Aguilar, 26, of the 1100 block of Jackson Street in Wauconda, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the 1500 block of Elmwood Avenue, according to police.

Janice Pitter, 43, of the 1800 block of Monroe Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at her home Wednesday, Oct. 3, police reported. 

Gas Stolen From Car on Florence

Someone stole gas from a 2007 Honda parked in a driveway in the 400 block of Florence Avenue between 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, and 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, according to police. 

Cell Phone Swiped From Restaurant

Someone stole an iPhone from the table of a restaurant in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue between 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1., and 1 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, according to police.
