Thief Steals Packages From Porch

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Battery

Yeshua Camel Jones, 41, of the 9400 block of Niles Center Road in Skokie, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 12:51 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in the 1800 block of Hartrey, according to police.

Deon Rahman Muhammad, 43, of the 2200 block of Foster Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at the police station at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to police.

Honda Stolen On Darrow

Someone stole a 2009 Honda CRV with the license plate C243329 and car seats in the back between 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, and 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the 300 block of Darrow Avenue, according to police. 

Bike Stolen on Hinman

Someone stole a Schwinn bicycle with red trim that was locked to a fence in an alley in the 900 block of Hinman Avenue at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, police reported. 

Vehicle Registration, License Plate Stolen On Fowler

Someone stole the vehicle registration and license plate from an unlocked 1996 Mercury parked in the 1500 block of Fowler Street between 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, and 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to police. 

Packages Stolen From Porch on Hinman

Someone stole a large box of dog treats and a curling iron delivered by the U.S. Postal Service and left on a porch in the 1400 block of Hinman Avenue between 12:21 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, and 12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, according to police.   

Men Steal Boxes of Shoes on Ridge

Three men stole boxes of shoes from someone who was moving out of an apartment in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, police reported.

Tires Punctured on Reba

Someone punctured the tires of a 2012 Honda parked in the 700 block of Reba Place between 3 a.m. 

Woman Dents Car on Custer

A female known offender dented a 2006 Dodge parked in the 400 block of Custer Avenue between 9:55 and 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to police.

Sorry, but if you're going to waste the police's time reporting stolen political signs in your yard, maybe your opinion on how government and public services should be run isn't so valuable.
