Thief Swipes Sculptures On Sheridan

Sculptures Stolen On Sheridan

Someone stole a collection of brown metal sphere sculptures from the front yard of a home in the 900 block of Sheridan Road between 12 p.m. Sunday, June 16, and 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 17, police reported.

Theft: Bike Bag, Mountain Bike

Someone stole a light blue Cannondale bicycle bag from behind the seat of a bicycle that was locked to a rack in the 1300 block of Maple Avenue between 5 p.m. Saturday, June 15, and 12 p.m. Monday, June 17, according to police.

Someone stole a Jamis mountain bicycle that was left unsecured in an apartment or condo common area between 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, and 7:45 a.m. Monday, June 17, police reported. 

Arrests: Aggravated Assault, Retail Theft

Jose Renteria, 26, of the 1800 block of Foster Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 2:27 a.m. Monday, June 17, police reported.

Erica M. Downs, 19, of the 3800 block of Enfield Avenue in Skokie, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole alcohol from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 5:54 p.m. Monday, June 17, according to police.

A 36-year-old Evanston woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery Sunday, June 16, police reported. 

A 30-year-old Chicago man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 8:23 a.m. Sunday, June 16, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged the door handle of a home in the 1900 block of Lee Street between 11 p.m. Sunday, June 16, and 1 a.m. Monday, June 17, police reported.
