Car Gets Egged; 3 Charged With Retail Theft

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the : 

Burglary on Emerson; Attempted Burglary on Dewey

Pry marks appeared on the door of an apartment in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue between 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, and 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, police reported.

Someone broke the door and entered a home in the 1800 block of Emerson Street between 12 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, and 12 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, according to police.  

Calvin Klein Dress Stolen On South Boulevard

A “known offender” stole a gray, size 8 Calvin Klein dress from an apartment building in the 400 block of South Boulevard between 7:03 p.m. Friday, June 15, and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, according to police. 

Three Arrested, Charged With Retail Theft

Kimberly S. Jackson, 44, of the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue in Evanston, and Brenda L. Stewart, 46, of the 8200 block of Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, were arrested and charged with retail theft at the Jewel-Osco at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, according to police. Police did not report what, if anything, they stole. 

Leroy Grant, 51, of the 2000 block of Dewey Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole an Evolution bike lock with four-foot cable from Ten 27 Cycles at 1027 Davis St. around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, police reported.

Vandal Throws Eggs at Car On Foster

Someone scratched and dented a 2006 Dodge parked in the 1110 block of Foster Street and threw eggs at the drivers’ side window between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, according to police.
