Man Arrested For Driving Under the Influence

Eric Zachary Braeutigam, 33, of the 700 block of Monticello Street, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Main Street at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to police.

Man Hits Victim In the Head

A man hit someone in the head between 4:55 and 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in a park in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue, according to police.

Assault At Maple Avenue Restaurant

A known offender threatened someone at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue between 11 and 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to police.

Two Arrested for Retail Theft On Howard Street

Kathy Legatos, 65, of the 2400 block of West Jarvis Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 5:17 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, after she allegedly stole grapes, cherries, watermelon and meat from the Jewel Osco at 2485 Howard St., according to police.

Verlita Marcel Phillips, 46, of the 1900 block of Howard Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 7:46 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, after she allegedly stole Hormel meat, Sierra Mist, Kraft singles, butter, Haagen Dazs, several articles of clothing, Febreze and Tide from the Target at 2209 Howard St., according to police.

Man Arrested for Possession of Cannabis

Demetrius Darnell Benjami Pulley, 20, of the 1900 block of Brown Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 8:38 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, in the 1500 block of Pitner Avenue, according to police. 

Woman Arrested for Telephone Harassment

Ginny Narula, 46, of the 1200 block of Oak Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with telephone harassment at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at her home, according to police. 

Diesel Watch, Prada Wallet and iPod Stolen From Gym

Someone stole a Diesel watch with a red rubber band, a leather Prada wallet and an Apple iPod that were locked up in an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 9:40 and 11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to police. 

Bicycle Stolen on Custer

Someone stole a purple men’s bicycle with a 24-inch frame that was locked up in the 700 block of Custer Avenue between 5:05 and 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, police reported. 

Catalytic Converter Stolen on Austin

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2000 Toyota parked in the 1200 block of Austin Street between 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, and 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to police. 

Backpack Stolen in the Park

Someone stole a black backpack that was left unattended in a park in the 1600 block of Foster Street between 7 and 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to police.

Phone Stolen at the Dry Cleaner

A man stole a black Samsung flip phone that was left on the counter at a dry cleaner in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue between 7 and 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, police reported.
