Two Charged in North Side Burglary
The incident allegedly occurred Thursday in the 2200 block of Noyes Street.
Evanston police have charged Andrew McHaney and Cardereon Priester, both age 20, with residential burglary after the two men allegedly broke into a home in the 2200 block of Noyes Street on Thursday morning.
Police responded to a call near Noyes Street and Hartrey Avenue at 11:45 a.m. According to the report, upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim, who told police that two individuals had broken in through the back door of his home, but had fled on foot after he confronted them.
The victim provided officers with a description of the two offenders, and the two suspects were located by police in the area a short while later.

When the two men saw an officer approach them, they allegedly fled into a home in the 1900 block of Grey Avenue, but were apprehended a short while later.
The victim later positively identified the two men as the offenders.

Both suspects were due in Skokie district court today for a bond hearing.
Evanston police had not returned calls for comment at the time of publication.
