Two Charged With Driving Under the Influence

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: DUI, Battery, Etc.

Erik Zachary Abron, 23, of the 700 block of Florence Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 1:25 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue, according to police. 

Laura Graham Harris, 41, of the 2500 block of Hastings Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, police reported.

Michael Lynell Rogers, 28, of the 2000 block of Dodge in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 1050 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the 1900 block of Dempster Street, according to police. 

Dereka Letese Ross, 30, of the 1800 block of Emerson, was arrested and charged with battery at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the 2300 block of Church Street, police reported. 

Laxman Sharma, 45, of the 6300 block of North Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, according to police.

Cardereon D. Preister, 21, of the 1700 block of Leland in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disobedience to police at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the 2000 block of Dodge Avenue, police reported. 

Man With Gun Reported at Howard and Dodge

Police investigated a report that there was a man with a gun at Howard and Dodge at 4:18 p.m. Monday, April 29. Nothing was found in the area. 

Set of Tires Stolen On Callan

Someone stole all four Reizyer tires from a 1996 Honda parked in an apartment lot in the 400 block of Callan Avenue between 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, and 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, according to police. 

Car Burglaries Reported On Lake, Hartrey

Someone entered an unlocked 2007 Kia that was parked in the 1800 block of Lake Street at 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, according to police. It is unknown what is missing. 

A man stole a copper-colored, 17-inch HP laptop, a nylon computer briefcase with its contents, a black and red Swiss gear laptop bag with its contents and a Sony digital voice recorder from a 2008 Mazda that was parked in the 2000 block of Lake Street at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, police reported. 

Someone damaged the hood and steering wheel of a 2007 Jeep parked in the 1700 block of Hartrey Avenue and rummaged through the items inside between 11 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, according to police.

Backpack Stolen From Locker Room

Someone stole a gray Swiss backpack with its contents that was left unsecured in a locker room in the 1000 block of Grove Street, according to police.
