Two Teens Shot on Emerson Monday Evening

Neither victim has life-threatening injuries, police say.

Two Evanston teenagers were shot in an alley in the 1900 block of Emerson Street Monday evening, police said.

The shooting happened at about 7:25 p.m. The two victims are both male, ages 16 and 18, and are both from Evanston, police said.

One of the teens was shot in the hand and thigh, the other in the arm. Both were taken to North Shore Evanston Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No one is in custody as of 9 p.m. Monday evening, police said.

Police are investigating the shooting and encourage anyone with information to contact Evanston Police at 847-866-5040 or use the anonymous text-a-tip by texting EPD TIP in the message line to CRIMES (274637) with the tip information.
