Two Women Arrested In Stolen Vehicle

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:  

Arrests: Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Battery

Taricka Jahoia Brown-Henigan, 26, of the 2400 block of North Samson Street in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle at 11:09 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the 1800 block of Dempster Street, according to police. In the same incident, Lisa Marie Cuevas, 33, of the 6500 block of North Maplewood in Chicago, was also arrested and charged with trespass to a motor vehicle.

A 20-year-old man from Evanston was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, police reported.

Mpoyi Mitondo, 35, of the 600 block of Lake Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the 1700 block of Benson Avenue, police reported.

Residential Burglary on Sherman

Someone stole a wallet from a home in the 1000 block of Sherman Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, and 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, police reported. Police do not know how the burglar gained entry. 

Brick Thrown Through Window on Darrow

Someone threw a brick through the window of a home in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, according to police. 

Man Tries to Steal Cigarettes From Gas Station

A man tried take a carton of cigarettes from a gas station in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, police reported. 

Fake Plants Stolen From Hospital

Someone stole artificial plants from a hospital in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue around 4:05 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, according to police.
