Wedding Ring and Other Jewelry, Electronics Stolen From Home on Crain

The information in this blotter was reported by the Evanston Police Department on Monday Dec. 30.

Burglary

Someone forced open the back door of a home in the 1800 block of Crain on Dec. 28 between 5 and 7:15 p.m. and stole electronics and jewelry, including flat-screen TVs, diamond and sapphire earrings, and a gold wedding ring.

Someone attempted to break the deadbolt on a residence in the 500 block of Sheridan Rd. between Dec. 21 and 28.

Someone stole cash from an apartment in the 900 block of Main St. between Dec. 19 and 27.

Police investigated a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Brown at 2 a.m. Dec. 30. Nothing was found.

Criminal damage to vehicle

A vehicles window was shattered while on the street in the 1400 blcok of Brummel St. overnight Dec. 26.

Retail theft

Someone stole cigarettes/cigars from a gas station in the 2400 block of Oakton at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 28.

Theft under $500

Someone stole a locked men’s mountain bike from an apartment storage locker in the 2100 block of Ridge between Nov. 26 and Dec. 27.

Criminal defacement

Someone wrote graffiti on a residential garage in the 1200 block of Florence overnight Dec. 28.

Someone wrote graffiti on a residential garage in the 1200 block of Dewey overnight on Dec. 28.
