Wilmette Man Charged With Soliciting a Sex Act in James Park

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Wilmette Man Charged With Soliciting a Sexual Act
Kenneth H. Townsend, 53, of the 600 block of 11th Street in Wilmette, was arrested and charged with soliciting a sexual act at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue, police reported. Townsend admitted to engaging in the sexual act when police caught him in James Park, police said.

Robbers Push Victim, Demand Property on Hinman
Two men pushed their victim and demanded his property in a parking lot in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue at 6:26 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, according to police. They stole cash, a brown leather wallet, driver's license, Chase credit and debit cards, personal documents and a Motorola cell phone, police reported. 

Chicago Man Charged With Battery at Greek Fire Grill
Edwin A. Carter, 38, of the 1700 block of West Juneway Terrace in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery at 8:28 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, after he punched someone in the mouth at Greek Fire Grill, 1625 Chicago Ave., according to police.

Evanston Man Charged With Assault
Kenneth Ross, 32, of the 900 block of Dobson Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the 100 block of Callan Avenue, according to police. 

Evanston Man Charged With Cannabis Possession
Andrew Iniguez Danilo, 24, of the 800 block of Hinman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis on Friday, Jan. 17, in the 500 block of Hamilton Street, police reported.

Burglars Steal Booze, North Face Clothing
Two men and a woman used a tool to break into a residence in the 2000 block of Oakton Street between 4 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, according to police. They stole four 375-milliliter bottles of Patron tequila, six 750-milliliter bottles of Patron tequila, a gold men's North Face jacket, a pair of grey North Face gloves and two North Face knit hats, according to police. 

Car Burglar Takes Cash, Wireless Headphones
Someone stole coins and wireless headphones from a 2013 Nissan left unlocked in the 800 block of South Boulevard between 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, and 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, according to police. 

Retail Theft: Baby Formula, Groceries
A man stole three cans of Enfamil baby formula from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street between 7:42 and 7:44 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, according to police. 

A woman stole groceries at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue, according to police.

Cell Phone Stolen From Backpack at ETHS
Someone stole an iPhone in a pink case from a backpack at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave., between 12:30 and 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, police reported.

Graffiti Appears on Dodge, Dewey
Graffiti appeared on a garage in the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, and 7:14 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, according to police.

Graffiti appeared on a home in the 1000 block of Dewey Avenue between 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, and 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, police reported.
