Window Screens Slashed on Harvard Terrace

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Cannabis, Domestic Battery

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 3:38 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, police reported.

Jutin Michael Vierk, 29, of the 1200 block of West Morris Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the 100 block of Howard Street, according to police.

Someone slashed the screen of a home in the 1100 block of Harvard Terrace in an attempted burglary between 9:27 and 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, police reported. 

Someone slashed a screen and entered another home in the 1100 block of Harvard Terrace at 2:33 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, according to police. Nothing was stolen in the residential burglary, police said.

Purse Stolen From Grocery Store

Someone stole a black cloth purse and its contents from a shopping cart at a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to police.

Man Steals iPhone From Athletic Club

A man stole an iPhone that was left unattended from an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 6:40 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to police.

Gas Stolen on Chicago Avenue

Someone stole gas from a 2006 Ford and 2005 GMC parked in an alley in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue between Oct. 3 and Oct. 24, police reported. 

Graffiti Found on Pitner, Prairie

Graffiti appeared in an alley in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue sometime before Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to police. 

Graffiti appeared at Prairie Avenue and Colfax Street at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, police reported.
