Two Arrested, Charged With DUI

Serafin Diaz, 43, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Friday, Aug. 24, in the 900 block of Asbury Avenue, according to police. 

Catriece Lizet Mack, 40, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in the 900 block of Dodge Avenue, according to police.

Battery At Asbury Avenue Restaurant

A woman hit her victim in the head at a chain restaurant in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police.

Arrests For Aggravated Assault, Battery

Leroy J. McClinton, 29, of the 1800 block of West Marquett Road in Chicago, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the 1500 block of Simpson Street at 7:29 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police. 

Serafin Diaz, 19, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, was arrested and charged with battery at 3:27 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in the 1900 block of Greenwood Avenue, according to police. 

Woman Arrested, Charged With Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Medina Skykes, 39, of the 1500 block of Simpson Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to a vehicle after she allegedly used a baseball bat to beat the rear window of a 2003 Buick parked in the 1500 block of Simpson Street at 9:21 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Man Arrested, Charged With Stealing Alcohol

Dracy D’Andre Clayborn, 19, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole alcohol from the Dominick’s at 2748 Green Bay Rd. at 10:43 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, according to police. 

Man Arrested, Charged With Violating Order of Protection

Samuel F. Miller, 74, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in the 1500 block of Simpson Street, police reported.

Attempted Residential Burglaries on Cleveland, Central

Someone damaged the window of a home in the 1600 block of Cleveland Street in an attempted burglary at 8:34 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, police reported. 

Man Steals Cash, Computer, Cell Phone On Maple

A man stole cash, an Apple laptop computer, a Blackberry cell phone and three notebooks filled with personal information from a residence in the 1000 block of Maple Avenue between Monday, Aug. 20, and Thursday, Aug. 23, according to police. 

Antique Parking Meter Stolen From Storage

Someone stole a 30-year-old parking meter from Elgin that was left unattended in the hallway of a storage facility in the 2400 block of Oakton Street between 1 and 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, according to police. 

Thieves Steal iPad, Keys, Cannon Camera

Someone stole a black Apple iPad from a residence in the 1000 block of Florence Avenue between Wednesday, Aug. 15, and Monday, Aug. 20, according to police.

Someone stole a set of keys from an unsecured lock box in the common area of a multi-unit building in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue between 5 and 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, according to police.

Someone stole a Cannon digital SLR camera and Cannon 20/80 lens from a cardboard box left in the street in the 800 block of Clark Street between 9:20 and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police.

Cell Phone Stolen From the Pool

A man stole a white Samsung smart phone that was left unattended next to the pool at an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, police reported. 

Stolen Bicycles On Florence, Brown

Someone stole a white Schwinn bicycle with red letters that was locked to a porch in the 1200 block of Florence Avenue between 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, according to police.  

Two men stole a blue and white girls’ Schwinn bicycle with a bubble seat that was left unlocked in a yard in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue at 11:02 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, according to police. 

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

Someone stole cash and a white Apple iPod from a 2009 Jeep parked in the 700 block of Washington Street between 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, and 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, police reported. 

Someone stole a black leather wallet, white iPhone in a pink case and cash from a 2004 Honda parked on Martha Lane between 9:13 and 9:23 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A man damaged an iPhone screen and left scratches on the TV in the common area of an a multi-unit residence in the 1500 block of Central Street around 8:47 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Someone damaged the driver’s side rear window of a 1997 Nissan that was parked in the 1800 block of Madison Street between 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police. 

Graffiti Found On Forest Avenue

Graffiti appeared in a park in the 600 block of Forest Avenue between noon and 3:56 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to police.
