Gunman Reported On Asbury

Police investigated a report that there was a man with a gun in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Assault

Anton D. Ellis, 20, of the 9600 block of Terrace in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with obstructing identification in the 500 block of Keeney, according to police.

Sean Steven Lechelt, 22, of the 300 block of North Dempsey in Elburn, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 7:57 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in the 500 block of Asbury Avenue, police reported.

Quinn McGee, 21, of the 200 block of Callan Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery Sunday, July 14, in the 500 block of Keeney Street, police reported. 

Prentice F. Phillips, 48, of the 1400 block of Florence in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 6:38 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in the 600 block of Lake Street, according to police.

Edward Sanders, 42, of the 7300 block of St. Lawrence in Chicago, was arrested and charged with assault at 7:41 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue, police reported.

Woman Slashes Tires On Howard

Someone slashed the tires of a 1997 Pontiac parked in the 2000 block of Howard Street between 10 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 14, according to police. 

Vandals Hit Car At Stop Sign

Three men hit a car while the driver was stopped at a stop sign in the 100 block of Custer Avenue at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, police reported. 

Bikes Stolen On Madison, Hartzell, Emerson, Gaffield

Someone stole a women’s Schwinn touring bicycle from a yard in the 1800 block of Madison Street between 12 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14, police reported. 

Someone stole a Trek bicycle from an unlocked garage in the 2700 block of Hartzell Street between July 8 and 10, police reported.

Someone stole an adult tricycle from a storage rack in the 1000 block of Emerson Street between 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, and 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, according to police. 

iPhone Stolen From Park

Someone stole an iPhone that was left unattended in a park in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street between 2:15 and 2:45 p.m. Monday, July 15, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone damaged the window of an apartment in the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, July 11, police reported.

Two men scratched a 2008 Acura parked in the 1200 block of Dobson Street between 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 14, and 5:18 p.m. Saturday, June 15, according to police. 

Graffiti Appears On Oak, Ridge

Graffiti appeared on a retirement home and another building in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between 12 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and 7 a.m. Sunday, July 14, according to police.

Graffiti appeared on a business in the 1800 block of Ridge Avenue around 9:20 a.m. Monday, July 15, police reported.
