Census Shows Evanston's Population Increased

There was a slight increase -- only 247 more people.

According to census data, Evanston's population in 2010 is listed as 74,486 residents, a slight increase from the 2000 population of 74,239.

There was a slight increase in the white population and decrease in the black population. The city's Hispanic population increased by 48 percent.

Evanston is still the most populated town in the north shore, according to TribLocal.
