City Discusses Harley Clarke Mansion, C.A.R.E Operations Monday

The Human Services Committee is scheduled to discuss both contentious topics at its Monday meeting.

Evanston's Human Services Committee is slated to discuss two contentious issues Monday night: the Harley Clarke Mansion and the C.A.R.E. animal shelter.

Last fall, the City Council rejected a $1.2 million bid for the mansion and 2.5 acres of surrounding parkland made by Jennifer Pritizker.

Earlier this month, the city said it would take a look at the nonprofit C.A.R.E., which supports the Evanston Animal Shelter because of its euthanasia rates and criteria.

The meeting will be held in City Council chambers at 6 p.m. You can view the full agenda here.
