Eight Acts to Compete in "Evanston's Got Talent Showcase"

From the city of Evanston:

Evanston youth and young adults will show off their singing, dancing, acting and rapping talent in the "Evanston's Got Talent Showcase" on Saturday, August 13, at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center. The show will begin at 6:00 p.m., but there will be games, give-aways and free food starting at 5:00 p.m.

Eight acts will perform for the judges and crowd; prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Free roller skating will take place in the gym from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (skates will be provided; no inline skates allowed). Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center is located at 1655 Foster St., Evanston. Admission is free for all activities. The showcase and roller skating are part of City of Evanston Mayor Elizabeth B.
