Evanston Climate Action Plan Annual Report Now Online

Plan outlines 200 ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Evanston Climate Action Plan, which outlines more than 200 strategies for reducing Evanston's greenhouse gas emissions, is now available online.

In Nov. 2008, the Evanston City Council adopted the Evanston Climate Action Plan, and community volunteers worked with the city to find ways to make Evanston more "green."  The plan is a guide to meeting a target of a 13 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emission by 2012, according to the city's website.
