Evanston Gets $275K in State Funds for Construction Projects

The money will go toward curb, gutter, sidewalk and drainage work around the city.

Evanston will receive $274,815 in state construction money as part of $5.2 million devoted to Cook County projects that the governor’s office announced Thursday.

The money will go toward curb, gutter, sidewalk, draining and other work around the city, according to a press release from the governor’s office. The Illinois Department of Transportation will manage the projects.
