Evanston Sponsors "Tap Water Tweet-along"

If you're interested in learning how water ultimately reaches your faucet or showerhead, follow the tweets on Saturday, Sept. 22 to find out.

If you'd like to better understand all the steps it takes for water to ultimately reach your home or busines each day, join in on the "Tap Water Tweet-along" sponsored by the Evanston Utilities Department. 

From 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, participants will be given a virtual tour of the Evanston Water Treatment Plant and learn about water preservation. 

Other information will include how much energy it takes to pump water to homes in Evanston, and the water treatment process will be demonstrated step by step, all via Twitter!

The goal of this event, according to the City of Evanston website is to provide an, "educational opportunity for the community to get an understanding of where their water comes from and how it benefits and protects the community every day."
