The City of Evanston, in partnership with the Evanston Art Center, operates a public art gallery at the Civic Center called Gallery 4502. The gallery located on the 4th Floor of the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue.

The Evanston Art Center has agreed to organize three exhibits in 2011 at the new gallery featuring artists who live and/or work in Evanston. The gallery is accessible during regular City business hours. The opening of Gallery 4502 marks the beginning of a new effort by the City of Evanston to use the Civic Center as a place for more regular exhibits of local art.
