No Divvy Money for Evanston in Recent Grants

Chicago and Evanston had applied to extend the Divvy program to Evanston, but did not get the state grant in a recent round of funding distribution.

Divvy bikes aren’t coming to Evanston. At least not yet.

Chicago and Evanston had hoped to get money through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program, which was allocated last week, according to the Daily Northwestern. But the expansion of the Divvy program was not funded.

Evanston would like to build seven bike-sharing stations in the city. It will continue to look for other sources of funding to do so, the article states.
