North Branch Library Closes Nov. 22 to Dec. 1 For Painting

The North Branch of The Evanston Public Library will be closed for nine days beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 21 for painting and redecorating.

The Evanston Public Library's North Branch will close down at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, and reopen at 10 a.m. Dec. 1 while crews paint and redecorate the space.

During that time, the walls will be patched, washed and repainted, according to the library website.

Patrons can continue to take advantage of some of the branch's services while work is being done, according to library spokesperson Marianthi Thanopoulos. Materials may still be returned to the Central Street book drop, as well as the Main Library and to the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave. Any items marked as ovedue will not accrue fines until Dec. 1.
