The two northbound lanes of Ridge Avenue will be closed between Church and Clark streets while crews remove a tower crane. Northbound traffic will be re-routed in a southbound lane.

The two northbound lanes of Ridge Avenue will be shut down between Church and Clark Streets next week while construction crews remove a giant crane, according to the city.

The lanes will close beginning Tuesday, Jan. 15, at approximately 7 p.m., the city reports, and will re-open during the evening of Friday, Jan. 18, once the work is complete.

Southbound Ridge Avenue will remain completely open during the construction work. Northbound traffic will be re-routed into one of the lanes, leaving the other for southbound traffic.

Crews must shut the lanes to remove a tower crane from 1717 Ridge Ave., where Focus Construction is building an 8-story apartment building. The work is weather-dependent, according to the city, and could be rescheduled.
