Veteran Speaks Out Against Gun Control

Kevin Tully spoke out at the New Trier Democrats panel on gun control, and was featured in Glenn Beck's 'The Blaze.'

Kevin Tully, an Air Force veteran who spoke out against gun control to a standing ovation at a New Trier Democrats' gun panel held last Sunday, has been featured in an interview on 'The Blaze,' a news website co-created by media personality Glenn Beck

"I’m not a liberal, I’m not a conservative, I’m not a Republican, I’m not a Democrat.  I’m an American — I believe in the Constitution, I believe in our country," Tully told The Blaze

“Throughout history, any king or emperor that wanted to oppress the people– with whatever their views were, their new laws or taxes– the very first thing they did was they went around and rounded up everybody’s weapons,” he added in The Blaze interview.  “It didn’t matter if it was clubs or all the way up to firearms…That’s where it goes.”

In his speech on Sunday, Tully cautioned attendees about the threat of tyranny, while also trying to prevent other members of the mostly pro-gun audience from interrupting the other speakers.

"[Tyranny is] not a wolf that dies," he said at the gun panel. "It's a wolf that breeds, and it may not always be iin your backyard, but it's always looming on the horizon."

A video of Tully speaking at the New Trier Democrats panel on gun control posted by Youtube user 'legalinsurrection' has over 108,000 views, at the time of publication.

Sully, If you own a weapon, that is Banned from being possessed and there is no provision for a timeline to sell said weapon, then weapon possession is a violation, subject to confiscation. If you simply read the Bill, you will see, that the Illinois State Police would have been given confiscation authority. They know who owns what because of required documentation at time of sale. The State of Illinois, wanted to Ban guns and take guns away from law abiding citizens that buy their guns legally and do what is asked of them. You and your Anti-gun friends do not understand tyranny and oppression.

Dan, YOU don't understand reality. Now how's that search comin for the black helicopters? I hope you check your house frequently because there's got to be numerous bugs planted throughout. And best be careful what you post on the Patch. You do know you're being monitored, right? They've got a holding cell just waiting for you. One wrong move and poof- you disappear. Placed deep within the internment camps hidden throughout the southwest, there will be no trace left of you (and I've heard they rule the camps with Sharia law and make you read the Koran every night). Maybe you should have your cyanide pills ready just in case.

Sully, Are you not on your Medication and acting strangely? I guess when you do not have a reply to a post, you just go off! Ha Ha

That's right Dan. When you say things as ludicrous as you, one realizes being rational doesn't work. Despite the fact that you probably DO believe at least some of what I wrote, my comments above are as stupid as yours. Tyranny and oppression? Really?

Kevin Tully, an Air Force veteran. My Opinon??? Fighting a war from the air is totally antiseptic. Mr Tully has a opinon I respect that, but he should have tried being a grunt in the Maribe Corps. I would like to bet he would change his mind on assault weapons. These mass killers would be even more deadly if they knew how to effectly use the weapon and didn't blow their brains out before law enforcement arrived.
