Want to Serve on Evanston's Board of Animal Control?

The city is seeking four residents to volunteer for the board, which will assist the City Council on Evanston Animal Shelter issues.

The following is from the City of Evanston:

Evanston residents are invited to apply to be a part of a seven-member Board of Animal Control that will assist the City Council in issues related to animal control and the Evanston Animal Shelter.

The volunteer Board will be responsible for reviewing monthly reports from the selected animal organization and the City’s chief animal warden, setting priorities and giving feedback to the City Council, and coordinating fundraising efforts for the Animal Shelter Fund.

Consisting of two City Aldermen, one member of the animal organization, and four Evanston residents, members will meet quarterly and serve 3-year terms.

Interested residents are encouraged to apply online or download the application at cityofevanston.org/boardofanimalcontrol.
