Kendall Place will consist of 19 single-family homes, located on the former Kendall College site in northeast Evanston.

A development of 19 single-family homes will soon spring up at the former Kendall College site in northeast Evanston.

North Shore Builders is expected to begin construction on the first property, a furnished model home, before the end of the year, and the first homeowners will move in during the spring and summer of 2014, according to a press release.

Called Kendall Place, the new development is bordered by Sherman and Orrington avenues and Colfax and Lincoln streets, not far from Northwestern University. (?) Homes will range from 3,000 to 6,000 square feet, and each property will have a two-car garage, full finished basement and fenced front yards. The majority of the lots will be 45 feet wide and 165 feet deep, while five of the lots will be 70 feet wide and 160 feet deep.
