ETHS Debate Team Continues Winning Run

A notice from ETHS.

From ETHS:

ETHS senior Noah Whinston was a runner-up in congressional debate at the 2011 Heart of Texas Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament. Whinston competed in debate for the first time at the event held during the weekend of October 15-16, earning him a bid at the next level of the Tournament of Champions (TOC). Whinston represents ETHS at the TOC along with ETHS senior Erik Baker who last month earned a bid in the Lincoln-Douglas debate category.

ETHS debate coach Jeff Hannan stated, "Noah is also a member of the ETHS speech team, and his training and experience in speech went a long way towards preparing him for this tournament." ETHS now has a second bid at the TOC in as many attempts this year, and is one of fewer than 50 high schools in the nation to earn bids in more than one type of debate.
