A Conference on Parental Alienation

The Children’s Rights Council of Illinois and The Parental Alienation Awareness Organization is hosting two seminars on Parental Alienation on June 30, 2012, at 222 North LaSalle St, 4th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601.

The first seminar, Parental Alienation - What Does The Research Tell Us?  What Is The Remedy? will be held 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., June 30, 2012. The presenter is Amy J. L. Baker, Ph.D., Developmental Psychologist, Researcher, Author, and Expert in parental alienation.

The second seminar, Litigating Parental Alienation – Optimizing Court Outcomes will be held 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., June 30, 2012. The presenter is attorney Brian Ludmer, Legal Expert in parental alienation and the courts.

Registration is $40.00 in advance for each seminar for divorce-sector professionals (GALs, Custody Evaluators, Judges) and $20.00 for each seminar for parents and the general public. The national level expertise shared at this conference will benefit divorce-sector professionals such as family law attorneys, guardians ad litem, divorce mediators, family court judges, family counselors, psychologists, and custody evaluators who work with clients who are experiencing parental alienation, as well as parents and families at risk for parental alienation.  

The Children’s Rights Council of Illinois is a non-profit organization led by volunteer parents who share a concern for the development and well-being of children from non-traditional families like their own. We provide insight to stakeholders and leaders on the impact public policies and established practices have on children of separated parents in Illinois. We also educate the general public on the importance of adopting family-friendly approaches to the unique issues facing these at-risk children. The mission of The Parental Alienation Awareness Organization, PAAO, is to educate the general public, schools, police, mental health counselors, religious leaders, as well as the perpetrators who may be unaware of the effect of alienating behaviors, and how these behaviors harm children. Our goal is education. We believe that with education comes understanding, and the will and power to stop the emotional and mental abuse of children.
