IMEA Music Festival features ETHS music students

Sixteen ETHS music students have been chosen to participate in the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) District 7 Senior Music Festival on Saturday, November 12. The festival will be held at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave., in Winnetka. Following a day of rehearsals, the students will perform in a culminating concert at 3pm; tickets are $3 at the door.

IMEA District 7 includes schools in elementary through high school districts in Northern Cook, Lake, and McHenry Counties. Students auditioned in October to be selected for this year’s fall festival.

ETHS honorees were chosen for the Honor Orchestra, Honor Chorus, Vocal Jazz Chorus, and All-District Band. Five additional students were selected for the All-District Jazz Band, but they will perform in their own concert on November 19 at ETHS.
