Parent Day Out Open House

Come find out about one of the best kept secrets in Evanston!  Please join us on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012, from 7-8:30pm to learn about Parent Day Out (PDO), meet our Director, Karen Dinelli, and visit the PDO classroom at 1420 N. Maple Ave., in the YMCA's child care building.  Questions?  Contact Karen Dinelli at (847) 328-2250 or info@pdoevanston.org.  Please visit our web site for more information: www.pdoevanston.org.

Parent Day Out (PDO) is a parent-run, non-profit cooperative playschool that provides an opportunity for young children, ranging in age from 24 months to five years, to make friends and engage in activities unaccompanied by their parents.  It is a low-key yet dynamic place for kids to begin the socialization process, build self-esteem and stretch their wings as they discover their own strengths.  There is also the added benefit of providing parents with a few all-important hours for themselves  - all with the peace of mind of knowing that their children are in a safe and nurturing environment.

Under the leadership of our experienced and dedicated Director, Karen Dinelli, the emphasis of the program is on creative free play and experiential learning in order to help young children develop their minds and social skills.  Seasonal and other themes are introduced throughout the year, and it is with insight and spontaneity that Karen creates a special atmosphere for learning and growing.  She attends to the program with great care and fosters working relationships with parents to determine what is best for individual children.  She knows that cooperation from parents is essential in providing the best possible experience for all children and is a key element to PDO.
