Evanston Yoga Pants and Leggings Ban: Dress Code Debate Continues

Despite a directive from Evanston/Skokie School District 65, hundreds of students wore yoga pants and leggings anyway last week and have signed a petition in opposition of the new dress code, News.com reports.

Letters to the principal, petitions and flat-out defiance have resulted from Evanston/Skokie District 65's recent ban of yoga pants and leggings because they are "too distracting for boys" and not appropriate attire for the classroom, News.com reports. 
 
Hundreds of students at Haven Middle School in Evanston signed a petition voicing their disapproval, the article states, and wore leggings and yoga pants last week despite the directive from the school district.
