Two incumbents are running against four new candidates in the race for four spots on the District 202 Evanston Township High School board of education.

Two incumbents are running for re-election, while four new candidates are also competing for one of four spots on the District 202 Evanston Township High School Board of Education.

Andy Bezaitis: Electrical engineer Andy Bezaitis is running his first campaign for election to the ETHS school board. He stresses the importance of goal-setting, adult figures for students, extracurriculars and cooperation with District 65.

Elena Garcia Ansani: Elena Garcia Ansani is obtaining a PhD in education and is running her first campaign for the ETHS District 202 school board. She stresses preparing for a cost shift in pension funding, maintaining safety around the school and closing the achievement gap. 

Deborah Graham: Current board member, legal journalist and author Deborah Graham stresses forward-thinking financial management, increased access to the arts, the importance of preparing students for careers and better coordination with District 65 to improve incoming students' skills.

Casey Miller: Casey Miller has long experience formulating policy at the federal level and is running his first campaign for the District 202 board. He stresses closing the achievement gap, improving career readiness and fiscal responsibility.

Pat Savage-Williams: New Trier High School special education coordinator and former District 65 school psychologist Pat Savage-Williams will advocate for school safety, small class sizes and ensuring a high quality of teaching. 

Bill Geiger: McGaw YMCA CEO Bill Geiger is running for his first term on the school board. He will advocate for closing the achievement gap, educating students for 21st century demands and collaborating with District 65 to better prepare students for high school.

Doug Holt: Corporate communications director Doug Holt is running for his first term on the District 202 school board. He believes the board should measure its progress toward goals, proceed carefully with the Earned Honors restructuring and collaborate with District 65.

Gretchen Livingston: Current board member Gretchen Livingston advocates for setting board goals and measuring results, leveraging relationships with local employers and Northwestern University, and careful stewardship of financial resources.
