Kindergarten Registration Begins in District 65

Kindergarten registration begins soon in District 65 for Evanston students who will be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2013.

Families with children entering kindergarten must register in person at the district offices, 1500 McDaniel Ave., according to the district website.  They can do so at the following dates and times: 

• Tuesday, Feb. 26,  noon to 7:00 p.m. for families of children living in the Dawes, Oakton, Walker attendance areas.
• Wednesday, Feb. 27, noon to 7:00 p.m. for families of children living in the Kingsley, Lincolnwood, Orrington or Willard attendance areas.
• Thursday, Feb. 28, noon to 7:00 p.m. for families of children living in the Dewey, Lincoln, or Washington attendance areas.
• Friday, March 1, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for families who were unable to attend the schedule dates in February.

Parents can find their students' attendance area on the district's website, although they are encouraged to call the district to verify their child's kindergarten attendance area at 847 492-5887.
