Forums Showcase School Board Candidates in District 202, 65

Multiple forums are scheduled in February and March with candidates for school board in District 65 and District 202.

Several new candidates are facing off with incumbents for seats on the school boards in District 202 and District 65.

And for Evanston residents who’d like to get to know the candidates before the April 9 election, there are many opportunities coming up, according to the Evanston-Skokie PTA Council:

District 202 Candidate Forum
7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Haven Middle School, 2417 Prairie Ave.

Four seats are up for election on the District 65 school board this year, as the terms of board members Andrew Pigozzi, Tracy Quattrocki, Jerome Summers and Kim Weaver expire. Only Quattrocki filed for re-election. New candidates include Candance Chow, Claudia Garrison and Sunith Kartha. 

Four seats are also up for election on the District 202 board. Incumbents Gretchen Livingston and Deborah Graham will be vying with Casey Miller, Elena Garcia Ansani, Andrew Bezaitis, Patricia Savage-Williams, Doug Holt and Bill Geiger to remain on the board.
