WHAT: The Lifeline Storytelling Project Launch Party
The Lifeline Storytelling Project (LSP) produces monthly live music & storytelling events designed to develop and showcase young artists affiliated with Lifeline Theatre. Since its creation in 2011 by Lifeline Theatre Artistic Director Dorothy Milne, LSP has sought to play an active part in the growth of the Chicago storytelling and Live Lit scene. LSP members participate in ongoing writing workshops, share their true stories in Rogers Park venues for an ever-growing audience of fans and friends, and take part in the annual Fillet of Solo Festival (hosted by Lifeline Theatre since 2010). For two years LSP has been performing largely under-the-radar, hopping from venue to venue on a sporadic schedule. Now, to celebrate its new public face and commitment to regular, monthly performances partnered with Red Line Tap, Lifeline Theatre is thrilled to announce a FREE launch party event featuring the stories of LSP members Katie Adams, Jessica Wright Buha, Georgia Knapp, Alex Kyger, Darren Meyers, Amanda Link, and Andrew Stam; with a live performance by musical guest (and LSP member) Emily Dillard and a group writing jam session.

Its ensemble of artists uses imaginative, unconventional staging to portray sprawling stories in an intimate space. Lifeline is committed to promoting the arts in its Rogers Park neighborhood and is an anchor of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District.
