This is the fifth year Chicago's North Shore Convention and Visitor's Bureau has hosted Restaurant Month, designed to replicate the restaurant week that began Jan. 24 in Chicago, according to a press release. Rather than lasting one week, however, Restaurant Month runs from Feb. 1 to 28.

“The culinary talent on Chicago’s North Shore is unsurpassed,” visitors bureau executive director Gina Speckman said in the release.  “Not only do we have gifted and award-winning chefs, but the diversity of the cuisine that is offered in our region rivals any major city in the world."

Beyond Evanston, restaurants in Skokie, Glenview, Northbrook and Winnetka will also be participating in Restaurant Month.

Dining deals range from a percentage off the entire bill, prix fixe dinners, 2 for 1 specials and free appetizers or desserts with purchase of an entree, according to the release.

To see the full list of deals and participating restaurants, visit the Chicago's North Shore Convention & Visitors Bureau website.

This month-long event started Jan. 24 and ends in just one more week. Why did you wait so long to report on it???

Addendum: I see your article is posted 1/24, but I get email alerts from Ev. Patch and today (2/19) is the first day this article was highlighted. So either the arictle was backdated, or your web manager selectively promoted other, less timely articles instead of this one for three consecutive weeks. Sorry to be snarky, but really it would've been nice to hear about this sort of thing more promptly--maybe even in advance, if that's not asking too much.
