City Council Approves Several Evanston Business Requests

Sketchbook Brewing, YoFresh Yogurt and others got OKs from the city council this week on various requests.

The Evanston City Council approved requests from new businesses as well as changes to existing ones at this week’s council meeting. The approved items include:

  • Sketchbook Brewing, a community-supported brewery at 825 Chicago, due to open by early fall, received its liquor license.
  • YoFresh Yogurt Café received its permit to open up in a vacant commercial space at 635 Chicago Ave.
  • The convenience store at 555 Howard St. can now stay open to 10 p.m., which is two hours later than it had been allowed to do.
  • Lucky Platter, at 514 Main Street, is allowed to have a sidewalk café.
