The Evanston City Council approved requests from new businesses as well as changes to existing ones at this week’s council meeting. The approved items include:
- Sketchbook Brewing, a community-supported brewery at 825 Chicago, due to open by early fall, received its liquor license.
- YoFresh Yogurt Café received its permit to open up in a vacant commercial space at 635 Chicago Ave.
- The convenience store at 555 Howard St. can now stay open to 10 p.m., which is two hours later than it had been allowed to do.
- Lucky Platter, at 514 Main Street, is allowed to have a sidewalk café.
