New Pastry Shop Coming to Central St.

Evanston resident and ETHS alum Beth Welch is planning to open a new European-style pastry shop at 1814 Central St. as early as this fall, the Daily Northwestern resports. The yet-to-be-named shop will go in the space formerly occupied by the R.C. Danon Gallery.

Welch, who has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and worked at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, says she’s received overwhelming support for the plan, the article says. She plans to be open in time for football season.
