Smylie Brothers brew pub isn’t open yet, and that’s killing its Facebook fans.
The new Evanston brewery and restaurant, opening soon at 1615 Oak Ave., has been posting gorgeous pictures of food, such as truffled mushroom pizza with arugula and rhubarb and strawberry crisp, on its Facebook page. There are also pictures of finishing touches being put on the space itself, which you can see above. There are more on the Facebook page.
“You’re killing me with these pics,” one fan wrote about the crisp. “Open soon! We can’t wait.”

Symlie Brothers had been shooting for a spring opening. The Facebook page says there should be beer ready for tasting by the week of June 16th.
