ETHS Baseball Drubs Waukegan 8-2, For Second Consecutive Win

Evanston Township High School's varsity baseball team dominated Waukegan 8-2 in a home game Tuesday, April 30. The Wildkits beat Deerfield 9-8 on Monday.

The following story was submitted by Evanston Township High School baseball coach Ross Freelan.

Four runs in the bottom of the sixth put a close 4-2 game out of reach as Evanston beat Waukegan 8-2 on a warm and windy afternoon at Evanston Stadium Tuesday.  Daniel Schoenfeld and James Hageman combined on a 2 hitter as the Kits won their second consecutive game this week.

Offensively, Evanston had 6 hits.  Jackson Blanchard reached base 3 times and was 1 for 1 with 2 RBI. Both Joe Franke and Eli Otting also had 2 RBI for the Kits.

The Kits are now 15-6 and 5-2 in the CSL.  They play Maine South tomorrow at home at 4:45pm.
