The Evanston Township High School boy's golf team has advanced to Sectionals for the second year in a row.
The team "continued their red hot scoring from last week’s conference meet as they took 3rd place at the IHSA Regional earlier today at Mission Hills Country Club with a team score of 321," read an email from the school's athletic director. "Thanks to the individual 3rd place finish of sophomore Jackson Mihevc (76) along with sophomore Evan Ter Molen (78), junior Oliver Wood (83) and sophomore Henry Gruger (84), the Wildkits advance to compete at the IHSA Sectional at Balmoral Woods in Crete on Monday, October 10."
"A 3rd Place finish or higher at the Sectional would take the Kits to their first ever team trip to the IHSA State Finals at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington next weekend," it said.
