ETHS Boys XC Falls Short in Qualifying Bid for State

The Wildkits placed 18th Saturday at the Lake Park Sectional qualifying meet.

Evanston’s boys cross country team fell short of a Downstate trip and settled for an 18th place finish in the team standings Saturday at the Lake Park Sectional qualifying meet.

The Wildkits were paced by junior Carl Klamm, 75th overall in 16 minutes, 10 seconds. Next in order for ETHS were sophomore Spencer Eanes, 106th in a personal best 16:36; senior Ben Butler, 115th in 16:46; senior Henry Magnuson, 123rd in 16:52; junior Conrad Gordon, 127th in 17:10; senior John Wiley, 137th in a personal best 17:28; and junior Alec Dinerstein, 129th in 18:24.
